Client Manager/Account Manager

We currently have an opening for a full-time Client Manager/Account Manager in our Ann Arbor office. The Client Manager develops and grows strategic relationships with the client to guide them through the Organizational Culture and Leadership Development change management process.This includes the planning of a survey assessment, support understanding report results and implementation of action plans, progress monitoring and reassessment to achieve client objectives. The winning candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong project management skills, strong interpersonal skills and an interest in and understanding of the Organizational Development field.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive client solutions by working with clients to understand their needs and goals.
- Managing survey assessment projects with client organizations and partnered consultants: Setting up and managing online surveys; Working with clients to understand their reports; Coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders and resources to support the change process.
- Establish, develop and maintain client relationships to provide high levels of customer focused support throughout the change process
- Proactively leverage relationships to build and support company growth.
- Working in a fast-paced collaborative team environment with other members of the organization and with affiliated consultants.
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree or higher (Masters in Organizational Development, or a related field is very desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and basic statistics principles.
- Technical aptitude to learn in-house software applications.
- An interest in and understanding of Organizational Culture and Leadership Development, and knowledge of survey research and processes.
- Willingness to be part of a team in a small, growing company. This often involves taking on responsibilities outside of your core job.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Foreign language skills desirable, but not required

Project Support Specialist

We currently have an opening for a full-time Project Support Specialist in our Ann Arbor office. The Project Support Specialist will be a member of our Client Management Team. The successful candidate will work with the Client Managers who develop and grow strategic relationships with the client to guide them through the Organizational Culture and Leadership Development change management process. This includes the up-front planning of the survey through understanding report results. The winning candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong technical aptitude to learn in-house software applications, strong problem solving skills, willingness to be part of a team and take on responsibilities outside of the core job, strong interpersonal skills and an interest in and understanding of the Organizational Development field.
Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment with other members of the organization and with affiliated consultants.
- Provide support to the Client Management team setting up and managing survey assessment projects with client organizations and partnered consultants.
- Trouble-shooting technical questions and finding new creative ways to completing technical tasks.
- Explore and find new efficiencies in completing survey setups in a timely manner.
- Support new software development roll-out for Client Management team as well as Denison distributors.
- Ability to verbally transfer and document technical knowledge.
- Coordinate technical support questions from various group email folders and Tech Support Ticket queue to ensure the client inquires and requests are responded to accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Produce OCS and LDS binders for clients and assist with shipping requests.
- Enter Paper Surveys numerical data and verbatim comment data into excel format.
- Participate in quality checks of reports for delivery.
- Assist with answering phones and transferring calls.
- Provide support for special requests (e.g., Printing, Scanning) or additional tasks as needed.
- Provide high levels of customer focused support throughout the change process.

Technical Manager
Denison Consulting is a
rapidly-growing business consulting firm headquartered in Ann Arbor,
Michigan. We specialize in diagnostic surveys of organizational culture
and leadership. Our tools are rooted in on-going research and are used
by clients and consultants to create organizational change and develop
leaders.
We currently have an opening for a full-time Technical Manager
in our Ann Arbor headquarters. The Technical Manager will be a
member of our Client Management Team and will serve as a liaison
between our software development team and various project teams. The
successful candidate will work with the Client Managers who develop and
grow strategic relationships with the client to guide them through the
Organizational Culture and Leadership Development change management
process. This includes the up-front planning of the survey through
understanding report results. The position has three primary roles.
Project
Data Management:
- Assists project team with
customizing large international multi-language organizational culture
and corporate development survey projects.
- Manage data import/export
from client data systems (e.g., client SAP data output to Excel).
- Customize reports in Access,
Excel or other formats as needed.
- Automate routine tasks.
Application Software:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for system enhancement and upgrade requests from the client manager project teams to the software development team for our proprietary software.
- Test and document new system features
- Develop software
documentation and training for end-users on the client account teams.
Technical Support:
- Assist with software installation/configuration
- Troubleshoot user issues with
various MS Office programs (e.g., Excel pivot tables, Advanced Power Point presentations etc.)
- Provide technical support for end uses in timely and effective manner
Other duties as Assigned:
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage a constantly changing workload
- Skilled in help desk support. Must be able to accurately log time spent on tasks.

Senior Application / Web Developer
Denison Consulting is a global, rapidly-growing international business consulting firm headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We specialize in change management solutions with a foundation in diagnostic surveys in organizational culture and leadership development. The Denison Culture and Leadership models have evolved from years of research linking organizational culture and leadership to business performance. Our IT group is looking to add a senior level developer to enhance our current applications and create new web-based applications that will be used by our clients world-wide.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior-level application developer to work directly with the IT Director to support and update our enterprise survey, reporting and client portal software applications, as well as create new web-based applications. You will have the opportunity to use several leading-edge technologies to develop applications and reports which will be used by our clients (several of which are Fortune 100 organizations) and our consulting network throughout the world. You will also help lead other contract developers on specific projects.
We are looking for someone with top-notch software development skills, creative thinking and keen problem solving abilities to develop best-in-class solutions. As part of this, you will help evaluate which technologies and tools make the most sense to use for specific solutions. This is a fast-moving environment, and RAD techniques are used to help us keep up with changing demands. Most of our solutions are offered in multiple languages (our surveys and reports are currently offered in about 45 languages).
The position requires at least 7 years of experience developing applications that are data driven (we use SQL Server 2008) and involve technologies such as ASP.NET / ADO, classic ASP, JavaScript, jQuery, and Microsoft office automation (VBA) and data reporting tools. Experience with SharePoint, Excel Power Pivot, and/or charting software a plus.
It is helpful, although not required, that you understand survey data, basic statistics and reporting techniques. You will have the opportunity to work with our Ph.D. level research and development team to identify potential new innovative solutions.

You’ll also have access to the MSDN VS subscription, a development server and development databases, version control (Subversion), and Red Gate SQL tools. We’ll equip you with a 64-bit laptop computer and an Android phone to get you going.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Updating core web survey applications which currently use classic ASP, JavaScript, jQuery and SQL Server.
- Develop data-driven web-based client tools related to survey and results, primarily in ADO.NET / jQuery.
- Enhance production reporting system, which uses Access / Excel / VB, and add client tools for accessing electronic reports (e.g., PDF/PowerPoint) and creating dashboards and interactive web-based tools for reporting. Some of this uses SharePoint 2010 with Excel services
- Manage outside resources that work with us on enhancing our web solutions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Data-driven web user interfaces (Classic ASP, ASP.NET, Ajax, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery UI, HTML, CSS, DHTML and ADO).
- Web UI data-bound controls, experience with third-party components (e.g., Telerik, jQueryUI, etc).
- Strong database skills and SQL Server experience: queries, stored procedures, and understanding of relational databases and programming.
- Automating processes and data import / export from various formats, particularly SQL and Excel
- Some knowledge of Office automation/VBA, particularly using Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
- International support for applications and reports, including RTL and double byte character sets.
- Experience with version control systems.
- Attention to detail and quality.
