Building High Performance Organizations:

An eWorkshop on Culture Change & Leadership Development

Course Goal:

After completing this course, you will be able to debrief culture and leadership assessments and apply the Denison model to client cases.

Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the Denison model, its origins and the link to performance
  • Describe the Denison Culture model, interpret sample culture survey results and the benefits of the global benchmark database
  • Describe the Denison Leadership model, interpret sample leadership survey results and describe the connection between culture and leadership
  • Describe the Denison Solutions framework including action planning, and tracking change over time and apply it to a sample case study

A Blended Approach

This blended elearning course combines self-paced learning, through readings and videos, with live interactive discussion-based webinars in which you have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to targeted teaching cases.

The course is broken into four key modules:

  • Getting Started: Your Orientation to the Denison eWorkshop
    • Self-paced Content includes Overview of the course, it’s components and what you will gain from this experience
    • Getting Started Webinar with introductions to the facilitators, information on your pilot projects and more
  • The Denison Culture Change Solutions
    • Self-paced Content includes What is Culture?, Understanding the Denison Model, the Link to Performance, Interpreting your Survey Results and Benchmarking
    • Culture Teaching Case Webinar provides an interactive discussion with Denison experts on a real world organization trying to improve their culture
  • The Denison Leadership Development Solutions
    • Self-paced Content includes The Leadership model and Leader Profiles, Leadership Insights, Interpretation, Benchmarking, and the Powerful Combination of Culture and Leadership
    • Leadership Teaching Case Webinar provides an interactive discussion with Denison experts on a leader developing leadership skills
  • Leading Change: Applying the Denison Solutions
    • Self-paced Content includes Approaches to Feedback and Action Planning, Tracking Change Over Time, the Denison Solutions Approach, and Preparing for Your Pilot
    • Leading Change Teaching Case Webinar provides an interactive discussion with Denison experts working through an in-depth case study where you will have an opportunity to apply all you’ve learned and make suggestions to help lead change in this organization

Once you’ve registered, you will have access to all of the self-paced content in each of these modules—giving you the flexibility to work through the content at your own pace. Webinars will be scheduled at two week intervals once your session has begun starting with the Getting Started: Orientation webinar. You will receive the teaching case for webinars prior to the scheduled session, allowing you plenty of time to work through the case and respond to a short assignment.
